Job summary

Hive is building a secure, scalable platform for deploying across managed cloud, customer-cloud and on-prem environments. You will own the deployment foundation, automate provisioning so customers go live in days, and ensure data residency, access controls, observability and recovery are built in from day one.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps or site reliability engineering.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field; cloud and security certifications are a strong plus.
• Experience with security, data-residency or compliance requirements in a B2B or regulated environment.
• Fluent English and based in the UK.

Job description

Hive is built for firms where security, control and auditability are part of the job. You will make sophisticated deployment feel wonderfully straightforward: secure, reliable and ready when customers need it.

You will own the platform foundation that lets Hive run across managed cloud, single-tenant, customer-cloud and, where needed, on-premise environments.

What you'll do

• Build and own Hive's deployment foundation across managed cloud, own-cloud and on-premise environments.
• Automate provisioning so new customers can go live in days, not implementation quarters.
• Make data residency, access controls, observability and recovery part of the product from the start.
• Shape Hive's security posture alongside the engineering team.
• Keep the platform dependable, understandable and calm under pressure.

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps or site reliability engineering.
• Strong experience running production infrastructure with AWS, Azure or GCP, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code and CI/CD.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field. Relevant cloud and security certifications are a strong plus.
• Experience working with security, data-residency or compliance requirements in a B2B or regulated environment.
• Strong instincts for sensible security defaults, access control and auditability.
• Fluent English and based in the UK.
