Job summary

Wordsmith is seeking a Motion Designer to own video and motion across Wordsmith, creating launch videos, feature announcements, and storytelling that translates complex workflows into clear narratives. You’ll collaborate with Design, Growth, Product Marketing, and Founders, building a system of templates and export standards to scale high-quality output while shaping how customers experience the brand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of motion design experience, preferably in-house at a product or tech company.
• A strong portfolio with shipped video work you can discuss clearly.
• Exceptional taste and high craftsmanship standards.
• Ability to simplify dense ideas into clear visuals.
• Owns a function-building mindset, not only briefs.

Responsibilities

• Create launch videos, feature announcements, and product animations.
• Turn abstract workflows into clear visual stories that land quickly.
• Build a motion system of templates, transitions, components, and export standards.
• Produce social content, event openers, conference loops, and sales assets.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and producers from concept to delivery.
• Help define how motion supports brand, growth, and storytelling.
• Use AI tools to improve quality, speed, and creative range.
