Job summary

Maze is seeking a Security Engineer (Internal) to own and secure cloud and application infrastructure. This role will involve hardening the AWS environment, embedding application security, and running compliance programs. Join a well-funded startup and be the founding internal security hire in a rapidly growing team.

Ideal candidates will have a strong mix of AWS security expertise, broad hands-on security engineering experience, and the ability to operate autonomously in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and running security with genuine breadth across cloud and application security.
• Real experience finding and fixing application-layer vulnerabilities.
• Practical experience translating SOC2, ISO27001, or similar requirements into technical controls.

Responsibilities

• Secure AWS environment and manage identity and access.
• Embed application security into how we build.
• Lead readiness for SOC2, ISO27001 frameworks.
