Job summary

PulseRise Technologies in London is seeking a Founding Engineer to build a core AI product end-to-end, owning the codebase and shaping architecture from day one.

You will work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure in a stealth-stage startup, making decisions with minimal specs and delivering ships from scratch. This is an on-site, long-term role with outsized ownership and impact.

Qualifications

• 2 to 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in early-stage startups or resource-constrained environments.
• Track record shipping full-stack features end-to-end (frontend, backend, infra).
• Able to work with minimal specs and make architectural calls independently.
• Based in London or able to commute daily for on-site work.
• Nice to have: experience with AI agents or LLMs.

Work is fast-paced and often ambiguous, with few detailed specs, so engineers are expected to help define what gets built as much as how it gets built. The mission is to bring modern AI agent capabilities into a traditionally slow-moving, high-value market. You have

• 2 to 8 years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience working in an early-stage startup or another highly resource-constrained environment
• A track record of shipping full-stack features or products end-to-end, spanning frontend, backend, and infrastructure
• Comfort operating without detailed specs, figuring out what to build and making architectural calls independently
• Based in London, or able to commute daily for a fully on-site role
• Nice to have: experience building AI agents or working directly with LLMs
• Nice to have: prior experience in Insurtech or Fintech
