Broaden is seeking a Founding Engineering Lead for the Data Platform in London (remote) to architect and build a scalable data infrastructure for egocentric video and multi-modal data. Qualifikationen

• 6–12+ years as Senior/Staff Engineer, Tech Lead, or hands-on Engineering Manager.
• Proven production data-heavy platform experience (video, sensor data, ML, or cloud infra).
• Experience leading engineering teams through delivery and product decisions.
• Active hands-on experience shipping production code in last 2–3 years.

Aufgaben

• Build resumable upload/storage pipelines across global locations with unreliable connections.
• Architect scalable job queues and worker services for video processing and ML tasks.
• Develop web interfaces for operators to browse, preview, label, and approve data.
• Export metadata and outputs with full lineage to raw source files.
• Define priorities with founders and guide growth/hiring of the engineering team.
• Oversee cost optimization of cloud storage/compute.
