Job summary

Novai is recruiting a Founder’s Associate in Reading for a broad, hands-on role supporting the founder and senior team across project coordination, operations and commercial tasks in a fast-moving biotech start-up.

You will manage multiple priorities, coordinate across internal teams and external partners, help build content for pitches and campaigns, and learn quickly in a role blending science, operations and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field with strong academic performance.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-changing start-up environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
• Confident with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) as everyday working partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical, preclinical and research projects with guidance from the project management function.
• Track timelines, milestones and deliverables; keep documents up to date.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners, vendors and subcontractors.
• Provide general operational and administrative support to keep the business running smoothly.
• Maintain relationships with sponsors, partners and stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations, reports and client-facing materials.
• Support marketing content and CRM activity to drive inbound interest.
• Assist in HubSpot upkeep, contact records and lifecycle stages.
• Support day-to-day running of lead generation and nurture sequences.
