Job summary

Newbury College, Inc. is seeking a patient Foundation Learning Support Assistant to help learners with additional needs access education, build independence and achieve individual goals.

You will work alongside team leaders, tutors and the wider Foundation Learning team, supporting learners in and out of lessons to engage, build confidence and progress toward targets. Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths required or equivalent.
• Experience supporting young people with additional needs is essential.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with learners, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners to access lessons and widen independence.
• Assist with personal care where required and implement individual support plans.
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment and track progress toward targets and EHCP outcomes.
