Job summary

St Christopher's is seeking a Fostering Support Worker (Bank) to support foster placements across Essex and Suffolk. The role involves planning activities, running groups, and providing flexible daytime, evening or weekend support with transport and supervision of family contact sessions.

Training will be provided; a DBS check may be required. This is a zer hours contract with variable hours, aimed at supporting looked after children in a safeguarding-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people in paid or voluntary roles.
• Experience with administrative tasks including data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run activities to meet the needs of looked after children.
• Run support groups for looked after children and birth children.
• Provide daytime, evening or weekend support sessions.
• Transport youths to activities/appointments and supervise family contact sessions.
• Full training will be provided.
