Job summary

Five Rivers Child Care Ltd is seeking a Fostering Support Worker to join our experienced fostering team. This part-time fixed-term contract role supports children and young people, foster carers and professionals, ensuring children's voices stay at the heart of our service.

You will build relationships, plan activities, support recruitment events, and maintain records while safeguarding is paramount. The role offers 30 hours per week with flexible pattern to meet service needs, and training will

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good IT skills and confidence maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to build relationships with children, young people, foster carers, colleagues and external professionals.
• Strong listening, organisation and teamwork skills.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, professional relationships with children, young people and foster carers.
• Plan and deliver purposeful individual and group activities.
• Organise participation events and promote the voice of children and young people.
• Provide practical and emotional support to fostering families.
