Job summary

North East Lincolnshire Council's Children’s Services is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the Children’s Fostering Team. The role focuses on supervising foster carers, delivering assessments, and promoting trauma-informed practice in a supportive environment.

You will engage with prospective carers, participate in recruitment activities and training, and help match children with stable homes to improve outcomes. Interviews scheduled for 2 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in fostering environments and supporting foster carers.
• Ability to work with traumatised children and apply trauma-informed approaches.
• Competence in undertaking assessments related to fostering and kinship arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Support and supervise foster carers throughout the fostering journey.
• Undertake fostering and kinship assessments as required.
• Deliver training and participate in recruitment events for foster carers.
• Match children with suitable foster homes to promote stability.
