Job summary

North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a Fostering Practice Supervisor to lead and support our fostering team, collaborating with foster carers and partner agencies to secure excellent outcomes for children. You will shape practice, provide reflective supervision, and drive workforce development within Children's Services.

The role requires substantial experience in children's social care, especially fostering services, and a proven ability to supervise and develop staff.

Qualifications

• Registered with Social Work England and hold a recognised social work qualification.
• Experience in children's social care practice, ideally within fostering services.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or leading practitioners.
• Ability to make sound decisions, manage risk and drive positive outcomes for children.

Responsibilities

• Provide reflective supervision, practice guidance and leadership to a team of fostering social workers.
• Oversee assessments, approvals and reviews of foster carers, support quality assurance activity.
• Contribute to recruitment, assessment and retention of foster carers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote positive outcomes for children and young people in our fostering homes.
• Create a sense of community and belonging among foster carers, ensuring they remain at the heart of the service.
