Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Social Worker Practice Manager for the Fostering Team in Northamptonshire. The role offers ongoing, part-time or full-time flexibility and a chance to lead a fostering service that delivers outstanding outcomes for children in care.

You will combine strong leadership with operational oversight to ensure high-quality fostering services, compliance, and positive experiences for children and foster carers.

Qualifications

• Social Work degree or equivalent.
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience in fostering or children's services.
• Experience leading or supervising social work teams.
• Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to social workers and fostering staff.
• Support the team in delivering comprehensive foster carer assessments and ongoing support.
• Monitor team performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee recruitment, assessment, and retention of foster carers.
• Lead on safeguarding concerns and child protection matters within fostering services.
• Ensure adherence to fostering regulations, legislation, and council policies.
• Build strong relationships with partner agencies to deliver coordinated services.
• Manage team resources effectively to meet service objectives.
