Job summary

Connect2Hampshire is seeking a Qualified Social Worker for Fostering to support and supervise foster families across East Hampshire and Alton. The role involves supervision under the Fostering Regulations 2011, ensuring compliance with National Minimum Standards, and coordinating carer training and development.

You will also respond to duty calls, assess needs, and assist with matching children to foster placements as part of a broader placement commissioning team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and families.
• Ability to supervise fostering families and support them under regulations.
• Willingness to respond to duty calls and crisis scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Support and supervise fostering families under the Fostering Regulations 2011.
• Ensure fostering families meet the National Minimum Standards for Fostering.
• Ensure fostering families stay up to date with training needs.
• Report to the team manager and discuss progress in supervision.
• Work within statutory frameworks and promote anti-discriminatory practice.
• Adhere to Hampshire County Council child protection policies.
• Participate in group case discussions and meetings.
• Work across a large geographical area with carers.
• Cover non-standard hours when required.
