Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced Social Work Team Manager to lead the Connected Persons Team within Rochdale's Fostering Service. The role offers an attractive £45 hourly rate and ongoing opportunities to shape practice and outcomes for children.

You will oversee assessments, attend fostering panels, support Kinship Carers, supervise staff, and ensure timely, quality decision making within statutory timescales. This is a demanding, rewarding post in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with leadership experience.
• Proven track record managing child welfare assessments.
• Experience with Connected Persons and Regulation 24 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of social workers focused on Connected Persons Assessments, Regulation 24 assessments, and viability assessments.
• Ensure assessments are thorough, analytical, relationship-based, and completed within statutory timescales.
• Present assessments to fostering panels and provide quality assurance for high standards of practice.
