Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is recruiting a Fostering Recruitment & Training Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role supports recruitment, training and ongoing engagement of foster carers across Wrexham, coordinating events and maintaining records.

Applicants should be highly organised, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach. Experience in fostering or Children’s Services is an advantage, with a willingness to learn and build positive relationships with carers

Qualifications

• Experience in fostering or Children’s Services would be an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and transferable skills.
• Passion for supporting children, young people and fostering families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment events and community engagement for foster carers.
• Coordinate the foster carer training programme and plan activities/events for fostering families.
• Keep carers informed through regular communications.
• Maintain recruitment and training records and monitor budgets.
• Prepare performance reports and work with partner organisations.
