Job summary

Warrington Borough Council's Fostering Team is seeking an individual to recruit, assess and support prospective foster carers, including friends and family carers. The role involves multi-agency work with children in care and close collaboration with safeguarding teams.

HPC registration is required and sponsorship is not available, so applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Experience with children in care, kinship families and fostering assessments is preferred.

Qualifications

• HPC registration required.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Right to work in the UK evidenced before starting.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Recruit potential foster carers.
• Assess potential foster carers, including friends and family foster carers.
• Support foster carers.
• Undertake multi-agency work with children in care.
• Work closely with safeguarding and children in care teams.
