Job summary

Warrington Borough Council is seeking a Fostering Support Worker to join a fast-paced regional team. You will be the first point of contact, guiding prospective foster carers from enquiry through their assessment journey and coordinating information packs with social work colleagues.

You will travel across Cheshire and Merseyside to support recruitment events, information sessions, and community campaigns, engaging the public with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Energetic and professional communicator with ability to engage the public at local events.
• Confidence to interact with prospective foster carers and guide them through the process.
• Flexible with travel across Cheshire and Merseyside for regional presence.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for prospective foster carers and respond to enquiries.
• Support applicants through the assessment journey and provide information packs.
• Coordinate with social work teams and multi-agency partners and support recruitment events.
