Job summary

Hoop Social Work in Usk, Monmouthshire is seeking a skilled Social Worker to coordinate fostering assessments and quality assure work completed by internal and independent assessors. The role is based in Usk with hybrid working patterns, four days per week, and a focus on timely progression and high-quality compliance.

You will bring substantial fostering experience, registered UK Social Worker status, and the ability to guide assessors through Form F/K processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience as a UK-registered Social Worker.
• Current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service or willing to apply for a new DBS.
• 3 years of satisfactory referencing.

Responsibilities

• Allocate Form F and Form K assessments with Letters of Instruction.
• Oversee assessment progress and ensure key timescales are met.
• Liaise with independent fostering assessors.
• Track progress, quality and completion of assessments.
• Lead and quality assure fostering assessments.
• Ensure consistency, quality and compliance across assessments.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to assessors.
• Identify issues or delays and address promptly.
