Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer for a long-term embedded engagement in London. You will design data models, build pipelines with SQL and PySpark on Databricks, and partner with Finance, HR, Risk and Compliance to translate complex requirements into scalable data solutions.

This hands-on, client-facing role offers ownership of end-to-end delivery in a fast-moving environment, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Databricks Professional certification: Preferred.
• Strong experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering and advanced data modelling.
• Hands-on expertise in Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog and Databricks Workflows.
• Production experience with SQL, Python/PySpark and dbt and/or Spark Declarative Pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security and access-control design.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and business-communication skills.
• Ability to explain architectural decisions and trade-offs in platform-agnostic terms.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable enterprise data models and lakehouse architectures.
• Build production-grade data pipelines using SQL, Python/PySpark and Databricks.
• Implement data governance, security and access controls through Unity Catalog.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand and prioritise requirements.
• Establish data-quality, modelling and engineering standards.
• Take ownership of delivery in a fast-moving, autonomous environment.
