Job summary
Forsyth Barnes is recruiting a Forward Deployed Software Engineer for a client in the United Kingdom. You’ll work in small teams with minimal supervision, writing production code while also participating in client workshops and translating business needs into shipped software across pensions-related workflows.
Essential experience includes an engineering background in CS/Math/Physics/Data Science, a track record using AI toolchains to build production systems, and Azure exposure in regulated
Qualifications
- Engineering background in CS, Math, SWE, Physics, or Data Science.
- Demonstrable track record using AI toolchains to build production systems.
- Able to translate business problems for non-technical stakeholders into technical work.
- Experience solving problems with data structures, storage, cloud, UX frameworks and tools.
- Understanding of AI landscape, open source and proprietary.
- Exposure to pensions/regulated industries.
- Exposure to Azure in regulated contexts.
- Demonstrable AI projects / GitHub history.
Responsibilities
- Embed with business teams to map end-to-end workflows across business areas.
- Own end-to-end delivery: scope, build, test with data, and deploy to live production.
- Build bespoke integrations, data pipelines, and user-facing tools.
- Feed learnings from the field back into our core product and roadmap decisions.
- Participate in client workshops and translate client needs into technical solutions.
