Job summary

RJC Group is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer in London to identify AI opportunities with traders and commercial teams, and lead AI adoption from prototype to production. You will develop LLM, RAG and forecasting solutions and build data integrations across trading workflows.

The role requires 3+ years in software/AI, hands-on experience with generative AI and cloud platforms (AWS). Strong communication and a real interest in energy/commodities are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering, AI/ML, data science or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMS, RAG or agentic systems.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
• Strong communication skills and genuine interest in commodities, energy or financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Identify AI opportunities with traders and commercial teams.
• Build and deploy agentic AI solutions from prototype to production.
• Develop LLM, RAG, NLP and forecasting solutions.
• Build integrations, data connectors and tool-calling capabilities.
• Translate commercial problems into scalable technical solutions.
• Work with core AI and engineering teams to productionise successful solutions.
• Collaborate with trading teams to deploy AI in a global environment.
