Job summary

IFS Copperleaf seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to stand across Sales, Product, R&D, and Implementation. You will stand up the product on customer data, prototype near-production solutions, and translate customer needs into value-driven outcomes.

You will own the technical outcome from discovery to production adoption, working to win deals by delivering fast, secure prototypes and measurable value in customer workflows.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing and commercial ability to connect tech work to deal value.
• Abstraction and reuse to generalize customer solutions into reusable accelerators.
• AI and agentic engineering including LLM, RAG, prompt and context engineering.
• Familiarity with enterprise integrations (ESRI ArcGIS/Smallworld, IBM Maximo/EAM, SAP/Oracle ERP/PPM, PowerBI).
• Domain knowledge in asset-intensive industries (utilities, energy, transportation) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with Solutions Consultants and Account Executives on strategic accounts.
• Own discovery, scoping, architecture, implementation, evaluation, productionization, adoption, and handoff for strategic solutions.
• Prototype aggressively and productionize deliberately.
• Engineer for security, reliability, observability, and integration with the customer’s architecture.
• Build, deploy, and evaluate with customer data to measure adoption and value.
• Collaborate with Product and R&D to turn validated patterns into roadmap investments.
• Develop specifications with the customer to feed product and engineering understanding.
