Job summary

Google LLC is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) in Applied AI to lead technical delivery for Conversational AI pilots and establish the first Customer User Journeys for our largest customers at their sites. You will transform prototypes into production‑grade agentic workflows and own the end‑to‑end engineering lifecycle.

You will work across software engineering, ML ops, and cloud infrastructure to deliver scalable, secure AI systems and enable high‑impact business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience with Python or similar coding languages.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform (GCP)).
• Experience deploying resources using Terraform or similar tools, to automate the setup of agents, functions, or networking.
• Experience building full-stack applications that interact with enterprise IT infrastructures, and developing external customer projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery for Conversational AI pilots and establish the first Customer User Journeys (CUJs) for our largest customers at their sites.
• Transform initial conversational prototypes into production‑ready solutions, owning end‑to‑end engineering lifecycle.
• Own the transition from Art‑of‑the‑Possible to real‑world business value and scalable, secure AI systems.
• Collaborate with customer engineering teams to instill Google‑level development best practices and ensure project success.
• Travel to customer sites as required to drive delivery and adoption.
