Job summary

Gi Group UK in East Grinstead is recruiting a Formulation Technician to support production of antimicrobial susceptibility testing plates in a GMP/GLP environment. You will follow SOPs, maintain records, and operate lab equipment with care.

Full training provided; rotating 3-week day shift 06:30–18:30, with one weekend in three; temp-to-perm after six months. A-level science qualifications and good teamwork are sought.

Qualifications

• A-level education in a scientific subject.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and health and safety guidelines.
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Team player with clear communication.
• Manual dexterity for lab tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare antimicrobial solutions by weighing, dissolving and diluting materials per SOPs.
• Set up, operate and monitor production dispensing pumps, priming equipment and weight checks.
• Manufacture laboratory solutions, buffers and other materials for production.
• Carry out routine checks of laboratory equipment, including pipettes and balances.
• Monitor stock levels of raw materials, consumables and equipment.
• Clean and sterilise laboratory equipment, glassware and other items.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure documentation is correct.
• Follow GMP, GLP, health and safety requirements and internal procedures.
• Use SAP and Microsoft Office to record and process information.
