Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting a Senior Formulation Technician for a busy pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Swindon. The role operates on a 24/7 rotating shift pattern with 12-hour day and night shifts, and is a 12-month temporary assignment.

You will set up and operate bulk manufacturing equipment, prepare modules, run CIP/SIP, test and document batch records, and support GMP compliance. The position offers pay and training in a highly regulated environment.

Formación

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
• Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate bulk manufacturing equipment in line with SOPs.
• Prepare, test and set up manufacturing modules (CIP, SIP, pressure testing, filter integrity, autoclaving).
• Operate small and large-scale compounding systems.
• Manufacture products per batch manufacturing records and GMP requirements.
• Complete batch documentation accurately and in compliance with GMP.
• Monitor equipment performance and report faults.
• Carry out cleaning and maintenance to required standards.
• Perform CIP and SIP activities and operate autoclaves/airlocks.
• Ensure equipment sterilisation and readiness for production.

Location: Swindon

Pay Rate: £14.55 per hour + 40% shift allowance

Contract: 12 Month Temporary Assignment

Hours: Average 42 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Formulation Technician to join a busy pharmaceutical manufacturing environment in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a highly regulated production setting and is looking to develop their career within the pharmaceutical industry.

This role operates on a 24/7 rotating shift pattern consisting of 12-hour day and night shifts:

07:00 - 19:00 (Days)

19:00 - 07:00 (Nights)

Shift pattern:

Week 1: Wednesday & Thursday

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

The cycle then repeats

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate bulk manufacturing equipment in line with standard operating procedures.
• Prepare, test and set up manufacturing modules, including CIP, SIP, pressure testing, filter integrity testing and autoclaving.
• Operate small and large-scale compounding systems.
• Manufacture pharmaceutical products in accordance with batch manufacturing records.
• Complete all batch documentation accurately and in compliance with GMP requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance and report faults or issues.
• Carry out cleaning and maintenance activities to pharmaceutical industry standards.
• Perform Clean In Place (CIP) and Steam In Place (SIP) activities.
• Operate autoclaves, airlocks and automated cleaning systems.
• Ensure all equipment is sterilised and ready for production use.
• Support validation projects and new product introductions.
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance where required.
• Escalate any non-conformance or quality concerns promptly.

About You

Essential

• GCSE Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent numeracy skills.
• GCSE English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent literacy skills.
• Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience working within GMP or regulated industries.
