Job summary

Eurofins Scientific in Sittingbourne, England is seeking a Formulation Scientist to join the formulation group supporting manufacturing and R&D through formulation and pre-formulation activities.

You will develop oral solid dosage forms, operate lab equipment, perform stability studies, and contribute to documentation, technology transfer, and launch readiness while maintaining ALCOA-compliant electronic notebooks.

Responsibilities

• Support development of oral solid dosage forms through planning and execution of small scale manufacturing and pre-formulation activities.
• Set up and operate equipment; complete clean downs; perform blending, compression, coating, and encapsulation tasks.
• Carry out product and materials characterization activities, including particle size analysis, tablet performance testing, powder flow assessments, and evaluation of formulation attributes such as rheology and polymer behavior.
• Interpret experimental data and translate findings into clear documentation—laboratory reports, development protocols, technical summaries, and other deliverables.
• Support design, prototyping, scale up, and optimisation of drug product formulations and manufacturing processes; contribute to technology transfer and launch readiness.
• Take ownership of laboratory equipment, ensure calibration and upkeep, drive continuous improvement and ALCOA-compliant electronic notebooks.
