Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Development Scientist in Liverpool for a full-time fixed-term position running from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2026, with a 37.5-hour week (Mon-Fri). The role supports development of new product formulations and automated/analytical platforms, ensuring equipment is calibrated and workflows run smoothly.

• Coordinate routine workflows by organising, scheduling and planning requests from multiple client facilities, ensuring smooth progression through automated platforms.
• Operate and support automation by reviewing Designs of Experiments, running automated workflows, supporting formulation platforms and ensuring all equipment is pre-calibrated.
• Manage laboratory logistics by overseeing COSHH, safety, sample integrity and timelines, escalating issues promptly and documenting any non-conformances.
• Execute and report testing by running routine automated requests, performing statistical reporting and conducting in-line/off-line quality assessments across haircare, fibre and sub-fibre measurements using a range of analytical techniques.
• Maintain documentation and communication by preparing and updating SOPs, reports and protocols, ensuring all records meet quality standards, and keeping clear communication with key client contacts.
• Support laboratory operations.
