Job summary

HSBC in Jersey is seeking an experienced Formal Orders Manager to lead end-to-end management of formal order requests, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to authorities. Qualifications

• Proven experience working within a relevant risk or control environment such as compliance, financial crime or investigations support with exposure to handling formal or time-critical information requests
• Strong understanding of risk and control discipline, issue management and operating within risk appetite
• Confident stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to work effectively with senior internal stakeholders and external authorities
• Calm under pressure with ability to work to high demanding deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication with high attention to detail and data handling discipline
• Experience working with onshore/offshore/outsourced teams is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Manage Formal Order cases end-to-end, ensuring responses are accurate, complete, secure and delivered within binding timelines/SLAs.
• Collate, review, protect and prepare data/document packs for validation and submission to authorities.
• Act as the primary business point of contact for complex Formal Order queries; seek guidance from Legal and 2LoD as required.
• Provide a tailored case management service by liaising with HR, Legal and 2LoD to progress requests efficiently.
• Maintain effective working relationships with the JFIU, Attorney General’s Office, Income Tax Authorities and other agencies; confidently negotiate scope and challenge unreasonable timelines in a professional, constructive way.
• Act as escalation point for colleagues provide guidance case‑by‑case, share knowledge, and help upskill business teams.
• Provide visibility to the Risk owner on the control effectiveness, KCIs, impacts and risks related to the Production Orders. This is achieved by being the CIIOM Formal Order Control Owner, supporting the resolution of any MSIIs and managing the control effectiveness.
• Provide operational oversight of offshore GSC fulfilment activities to support overall case delivery and capacity management.
