Job summary

HSBC Jersey seeks an experienced Head of Governance & Oversight to lead the governance, risk and oversight framework across the Wealth business, ensuring products, platforms and journeys operate within a robust control environment.

You will provide senior risk partnership, oversee regulatory adherence, drive end-to-end governance of major changes and embed controls that protect customer outcomes while enabling sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Strong financial services and Investment/Wealth product knowledge.
• Proven leadership experience in senior roles.
• Stakeholder management across complex matrix environments.
• Ability to break down complex technical issues for non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading and coaching a team of business partners in a changing commercial environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to influence senior management and relationships.
• Experience working in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Wealth governance, risk and oversight framework across products, platforms and journeys.
• Provide effective risk partnership, independent challenge and oversight across Wealth.
• Ensure robust governance and control frameworks across product and change lifecycles.
• Oversee regulatory and policy adherence, risk identification, incidents, remediation and escalation.
• Provide end-to-end governance of significant product, platform and journey changes.
• Ensure new capabilities are implemented with appropriate controls and clear accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement in the Wealth control environment while supporting consistent customer outcomes.
