Job summary

Rachel Hill Resourcing is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join a busy yard environment. You will load and unload lorries and containers and perform general yard duties, with on-site training offered if you lack a current licence.

The role requires previous forklift experience and a strong focus on Safety, reliability and punctuality. The working hours are 8:00am–6:00pm with an immediate start for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Previous experience working within a yard, warehouse or similar environment.
• A current forklift licence is not essential, as on-site training will be provided.
• Willingness to learn container loading and lorry loading/unloading procedures.
• Good awareness of health and safety.
• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• Comfortable working in a busy, physical environment.

Responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently within the yard.
• Loading and unloading lorries.
• Loading and unloading containers.
• Moving and positioning materials and goods around the yard.
• Ensuring goods are handled safely and securely.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Keeping the yard organised and tidy.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily operational requirements.
