Job summary

Hrgo-Recruitment is seeking a reliable Yard Forklift Driver / Operator to join a busy yard and production team in the UK. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, load/unload lorries, and assist with general yard tasks. Immediate starts are welcomed with a potential permanent role after probation.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am–6pm, with overtime paid at time and a half over 40 hours. Competitive pay and training opportunities on offer.

Qualifications

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a yard/warehouse environment.
• Ability to load lorries quickly while maintaining safe working practices.
• Comfortable with physical work and regular lifting.
• Careful, methodical approach when picking fragile items such as porcelain.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to move pallets and goods around the yard.
• Fast, accurate loading and unloading of lorries and trailers.
• Build, break down and repair pallets.
• Bagging and packing production items as required.
• Picking porcelain and other fragile orders with care and attention to detail.
• Manual handling of stock—lifting and moving items regularly.
• Perform basic daily checks on equipment and maintain a tidy, safe working area.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks across the yard/warehouse as needed.

YARD FORKLIFT DRIVER / OPERATOR

We are looking for a reliable, experienced Yard Forklift Driver / Operator to join a busy yard and production team. The ideal candidate is confident on a counterbalance truck, able to load and unload lorries quickly and safely, and willing to help with general yard and production tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to move pallets and goods around the yard
• Fast, accurate loading and unloading of lorries and trailers
• Build, break down and repair pallets
• Bagging and packing production items as required
• Picking porcelain and other fragile orders with care and attention to detail
• Manual handling of stock—lifting and moving items regularly
• Perform basic daily checks on equipment and maintain a tidy, safe working area
