Job summary

Acclaim Handling Limited is seeking a skilled forklift technician to repair, prepare and overhaul forklifts across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems. You will service gas, diesel and electric units, perform slabbed checks on brakes and steering, and carry out preventative maintenance and partial strip-downs as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing forklift trucks across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to service gas, diesel and electric forklifts.
• Familiar with brake, steering and lifting equipment checks.
• Experience with pre-delivery inspections and maintenance routines.
• Ability to complete work sheets and engineer paperwork in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul of forklift trucks to meet specifications.
• Carry out servicing of gas, diesel and electric forklifts.
• Check brakes, steering, lifting equipment for full functionality.
• Perform oil changes and replace filters as needed.
• Prepare, steam clean or paint chassis and perform partial strip-downs when required.
• Record progress on repairs and parts used on daily job sheets.
• Coordinate with Service Controller on changes and despatch/receipt of trucks.
