Job summary

Rachel Hill Resourcing is seeking a permanent Warehouse Operative in Leighton Buzzard. Your role will involve safe forklift operation, efficient loading/unloading, and accurate stock control using a warehouse management system.

You will participate in order processing, stock checks, and cycle counts while complying with health and safety standards. The ideal candidate has forklift certification, strong numeracy, and good communication skills to work within a team and support continuous workflow

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse environment with knowledge of warehouse management systems.
• Valid forklift license certification/experience in Counterbalance.
• Strong materials handling skills with understanding of safe lifting techniques.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and documentation requirements.
• Numeracy skills for inventory counting, measurements and calculations.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload goods
• Processing orders for Goods Out
• Manage materials handling processes to ensure accurate storage and retrieval of inventory
• Utilise warehouse management systems for stock control
• Perform physical and some heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflows and improve overall efficiency
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment
• Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to uphold stock accuracy
