Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Forklift Truck Service Engineer to join a well-established team covering Norwich and East Anglia. The role combines workshop and field work, servicing electric, LPG and diesel forklifts for a diverse range of customers.

You will diagnose faults, perform routine servicing, and maintain detailed service records while working largely independently on customer sites. A valid driving licence and hands-on forklift experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical and mechanical repair of heavy equipment such as forklifts.
• Diagnose and fault-find electrical/mechanical issues on forklifts.
• Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues on forklift trucks.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure equipment operates safely.
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques to repair/modify components.
• Maintain detailed service records and compliance documents for each unit.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly.
