Job summary

RE Recruitment is assisting a local builders' merchant in Bourton-on-the-Water by recruiting a Counterbalance Forklift Operator / Yard Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. No previous experience is essential as training can be given and a positive attitude is valued.

You will load/unload vehicles, operate a Counterbalance forklift, pick orders, assist customers in the yard, maintain safety, and support the team.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Counterbalance forklift licence is desirable, training can be provided.
• Previous experience in warehouse/yard or construction environment advantageous.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer and supplier vehicles safely.
• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
• Pick and prepare customer orders for collection and delivery.
• Assist customers in the yard and provide excellent service.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Handle stock and building materials safely.
• Support the wider team with general yard and warehouse duties.
• Carry out daily forklift safety and equipment checks before operation.
