Job summary

SLB, based in Aberdeen, Scotland, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our chemical handling operations. You will perform counterbalance forklift duties, move and store chemicals onsite, and ensure compliance with site rules.

This role requires a safety-focused approach, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with SAP administration. Employment begins with ChampionX and will transition to SLB as part of the integration.

Qualifications

• Experience handling chemicals in various types of packaging including bulk, offshore tanks, drums and pallets.
• Experience in customer relations.
• Experience performing warehouse duties, including inventory and safe storage of chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Counterbalance forklift duties; move & store chemicals onsite.
• Loading and unloading of vehicles; controlling vehicle movements onsite ensuring site rules are followed.
• Check correct labelling and packaging of chemical containers.
• Inspect chemical containers to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Be responsible for your own safety and the safety of others by complying with all company regulations.
• Adhere to and follow quality procedures for activities within the Plant.
• Maintain accurate record and document keeping.
• Ensure all plant equipment is fit for purpose and available for use at all times.
• Assist with information to ensure material requirement planning is accurate, and to assist administration staff in upkeep of SAP master and info records.

What You Will Do:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with handling products in various types of packages including bulk, offshore tanks, drums and pallets
• Experience in customer relations
• Experience performing warehouse duties, which include preventative maintenance, inventory of chemicals, receiving incoming shipments, organizing warehouse for safe and efficient chemical storage, operation of customized chemical manufacturing equipment and the upkeep of warehouse grounds
• Awareness of chemical safety and the measures to take in the event of skin contact or spill

Physical Demands:

This role requires working in an chemical manufacturing plant.

Certifications:

Category B3 Counterbalance Forklift Certification
