Job summary

Premier Work Support in Basildon is seeking a Forklift Operative to join our client’s team on a temporary basis. The role requires an in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence, warehouse experience, and reliable work history.

You will load and unload freight, report shortages or damages, ensure booking in procedures and signing for goods, and help maintain a clean, safe warehouse. Shifts run Monday to Friday with rotating 6am-2:30pm and 11:30am-8:00pm patterns; DBS check will be required for

• In-date Counterbalance forklift licence is required.
• Previous warehouse experience with a solid work history.

Job description

Our client based in Basildon is looking for a Forklift Operative to join their growing team on a temporary basis.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous warehouse experience, with an in date Counterbalance Forklift licence, excellent communication skills and a solid work history with no gaps and a strong work ethic.

The Forklift Operative duties will involve:-

• Loading and unloading of freight going through the warehouse using a Counterbalance Forklift


• Notifying Supervisor of any shortages or damages


• Ensuring that the appropriate booking in procedure is adhered to and dims etc are checked and reported back to the relevant department.


• Ensuring that all vehicles are handled in a prompt manner


• Ensuring that all freight leaving the warehouse is signed for upon collection


• Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse

Hours of work are Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern 6am - 2:30pm, and 11:30am to 8:00pm or till finish.

Due to the nature of this business all candidates must have 5 full years employment / education history with no gaps and will be subject to a DBS Check. Both are for security reasons. We can support you in obtaining a DBS if you do not currently hold a valid certificate.
