Job summary

Premier Work Support is seeking a Forklift Operative in Basildon for a temporary role. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, an in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence, and a solid work history with no gaps.

DBS check will be carried out for security reasons. Responsibilities include loading/unloading with the forklift, reporting shortages or damages, and ensuring proper booking-in procedures are followed.

Qualifications

Job description

Our client based in Basildon is looking for a Forklift Operative to join their growing team on a temporary basis.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous warehouse experience, with an in date Counterbalance Forklift licence, excellent communication skills and a solid work history with no gaps and a strong work ethic.

The Forklift Operative duties will involve:

• Loading and unloading of freight going through the warehouse using a Counterbalance Forklift
• Notifying Supervisor of any shortages or damages
• Ensuring that the appropriate booking in procedure is adhered to and dims etc are checked and reported back to the relevant department.
• Ensuring that all vehicles are handled in a prompt manner
• Ensuring that all freight leaving the warehouse is signed for upon collection
• Maintaining a clean and safe warehouseHours of work are Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern 6am - 2:30pm, and 11:30am to 8:00pm or till finish.

Due to the nature of this business all candidates must have 5 full years employment / education history with no gaps and will be subject to a DBS Check. Both are for security reasons. We can support you in obtaining a DBS if you do not currently hold a valid certificate.
