Job summary

First Military Recruitment is seeking a Forklift Engineer to service and repair forklift trucks and related lifting equipment for one of our clients in the UK. The role covers routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and liaising with customers to meet their requirements.

A strong mechanical engineering background and a full UK driving licence are essential, with forklift experience highly desirable. You may work in a small team or independently, always upholding safety, quality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical engineering background required.
• Able to work as part of a team or independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with forklift trucks or related equipment desirable.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
• Carrying out routine maintenance.
• Checking oil and fuel levels.
• Checking hoses and connections.
• Steering and brake checks.
• Liaising with customers on requirements.
• Submit accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
• Acting as the face of the company and brand ambassador.
