Job summary

First Military Recruitment is seeking a Forklift Engineer in Devizes, Wiltshire, on behalf of a client. The role covers commissioning, maintenance and servicing of forklift trucks and related plant machinery, with a focus on quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

You should have an NVQ in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and good communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers and the Service Team. Ex ex-military encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to long/short term machines and customers owned equipment. Ensuring best practice with quality and professionalism are met at all times and to maintain customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for commissioning, maintenance and servicing of equipment and plant machinery.
• Repair, maintain, and service forklift trucks
• Repair or replace faulty parts
• Report to Service Co-ordinator for scheduled work
• Maintain and develop relationships with Customers
• Follow Service Team procedures.
• Adhere to site Health & Safety requirements.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance of the role and attend training courses as required.
• Adhere to company Quality and Compliance responsibilities, and policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Health & Safety responsibilities and procedures
