Job summary

First Military Recruitment are recruiting a Forklift Engineer for a client in Northampton. The role focuses on servicing and repairing forklift trucks and related lifting equipment, with routine maintenance and a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

The position requires a good mechanical engineering background, strong communication and time management skills, and a Full UK Driving Licence. Ex-military candidates are encouraged to apply, with overtime and benefits package available.

Qualifications

• A good mechanical engineering background is essential.
• Customer focused and able to work in a team or independently.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Experience with forklift trucks, military, agricultural or plant equipment is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repair of forklift trucks and other lifting equipment.
• Carrying out routine maintenance.
• Checking oil and fuel levels.
• Checking all related hoses and connections.
• Steering and brake checks.
• Basic electrical checks - brake lights etc.
• Liaising with customers regarding their individual requirements.
• Submit accurate parts requisition information to Head Office.
• Acting as the face of the company and therefore acting as a brand ambassador.
