Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and MHE across a local customer base near Wellingborough. The role is field-based with a standard Monday to Friday schedule and no regular weekends.

You will diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults, complete service reports, manage van stock, and follow health and safety procedures while providing high-quality on-site support for a varied fleet of equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical engineering/service & maintenance experience.
• Forklift or materials handling experience desirable.
• Strong mechanical background suitable for growth in MHE.
• Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge is beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and MHE.

Salary: GBP34000 - GBP38000 per annum

Location: Chelveston

A growing materials handling business is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join its team. This is a field-based role servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment across a local customer base.

The Role

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and MHE.
• Diagnose and fault-find mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Attend customer sites within approximately a 50-mile radius.
• Work to a planned schedule of servicing and maintenance.
• Complete service reports and manage van stock accurately.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.

Requirements

• Previous mechanical engineering/service & maintenance experience.
• Forklift or materials handling experience is desirable.
• Engineers from a strong mechanical background looking to develop within MHE will also be considered.
• Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge is beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence.

Package

• Core working hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Company vehicle and tools/equipment.
• Full product training.
• No regular weekends or nights out.
• Field-based role with a varied range of equipment.
