Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a reliable Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse in Swanscombe. You will operate counterbalance forklift, perform order picking, packing and unloading with accuracy and speed.

The ideal candidate holds a valid counterbalance licence, has hands-on experience, and can work Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. The role offers on-the-job training, permanent placement after probation, competitive pay, overtime opportunities and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Licence (required).
• Proven experience in order picking, packing and unloading.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physically fit and able to lift/move items as required.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklift safely to move pallets and stock.
• Carry out order picking using manual or RF scanner methods, ensuring accuracy and speed.
• Pack goods to company standards for dispatch, including labelling and documentation.
• Unload incoming deliveries and check goods against delivery notes.
• Perform basic stock control and cycle counts; report discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all health & safety procedures.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as required to meet daily targets.
