Job summary

Jobandtalent is recruiting a Forklift Driver PM to join a leading retailer in Dunstable. You will drive a Reach truck, pick and pack goods, and handle loading/unloading in a fast-paced warehouse. The role involves safe operation, pre-use checks, and collaboration with colleagues to keep workflows efficient.

Shifts are five days out of seven with an hourly pay rate of £15.87. This is a temporary-to-permanent position through Jobandtalent, offering exposure to multiple warehouse departments and

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-12 months of forklift driving experience.
• Proven experience in Reach truck operation.
• Ability to load and unload goods, handle pallets, and stack items safely.
• Experience working in busy warehouse environments.
• Strong focus on pedestrian safety, hazard identification, and safe load handling.
• Ability to complete pre-use machinery checks and operate equipment for extended periods.
• Capability to handle manual tasks when required.
• Good level of English.
• No history of serious safety violations.

Job description

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Forklift Driver PM to work with a leading company in the retail sector in Dunstable. You will be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, responsible for picking and packing goods while operating an FLT Reach truck and performing various other warehouse duties.

Shift Patterns:

• Any 5 out of 7 days

Pay Rates:

• 15.87 GBP hourly

Essential Requirements for Forklift Driver PM:

• Minimum 6-12 months of forklift driving experience
• Proven experience in Reach truck operation
• Ability to load and unload goods, handle pallets, and stack items safely
• Experience working in busy warehouse environments
• Strong focus on pedestrian safety, hazard identification, and safe load handling
• Ability to complete pre-use machinery checks and operate equipment for extended periods

Desirable Requirements for Forklift Driver PM:

• Additional forklift licences
• Trained in manual handling and working at heights
• Background experience in the retail industry
• Ability to meet or exceed KPIs
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Willingness to support picking and other departments and get trained in different areas of the warehouse
