Job summary

Jobandtalent in Dunstable is recruiting for a Forklift Driver AM to operate an FLT Reach truck, pick and pack orders, and support various warehouse tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Shift patterns are Any 5 out of 7 days. Pay rate is 15.87 GBP hourly. This ongoing role offers training and opportunities to cross-train across departments within the warehouse.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months forklift driving experience.
• Proven Reach truck operation experience.
• Ability to load/unload goods, pallet handling and safe stacking.
• Experience in busy warehouse environments.
• Strong safety awareness and hazard identification.
• Good level of English.
• No history of serious safety violations.

Responsibilities

• Operate FLT Reach trucks to move stock around the warehouse.
• Perform picking and packing to fulfil customer orders.
• Carry out thorough pre-use equipment checks.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace to support operations.

Job description

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Forklift Driver AM to work with a leading company in the retail sector in Dunstable. You will be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, responsible for picking and packing goods while operating an FLT Reach truck and performing various other warehouse duties.

Shift Patterns:

• Any 5 out of 7 days

Pay Rates:

• 15.87 GBP hourly

Essential Requirements for Forklift Driver AM:

• Minimum 6-12 months of forklift driving experience
• Proven experience in Reach truck operation
• Ability to load and unload goods, handle pallets, and stack items safely
• Experience working in busy warehouse environments
• Strong focus on pedestrian safety, hazard identification, and safe load handling
• Ability to complete pre-use machinery checks and operate equipment for extended periods
• Capability to handle manual tasks when required
• Good level of English
• No history of serious safety violations

Desirable Requirements for Forklift Driver AM:

• Additional forklift licences
• Trained in manual handling and working at heights
• Background experience in the retail industry
• Ability to meet or exceed KPIs
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Willingness to support picking and other departments and get trained in different areas of the warehouse
