Workchain is recruiting for an experienced Night Shift FLT Driver in Derby. You will operate a Counterbalance forklift, assist with container-tipping, and perform general warehouse duties in a hands-on role.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, with a valid Counterbalance FLT licence and prior warehouse/logistics experience. The role offers a fixed 4‑night schedule, stable ongoing work, and excellent work-life balance with full training provided.

The RoleThe role will involve operating a Counterbalance forklift as well as assisting with container-tipping and general warehouse duties. This is a hands-on position, so candidates must be comfortable with physical and repetitive work.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficiently


• Loading and unloading materials and containers


• Assisting with container-tipping operations


• Moving materials around the site


• Carrying out general warehouse duties


• Completing manual handling and physical tasks


• Following site health and safety procedures


• Working as part of a team to meet daily requirements


• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence


• Previous FLT experience


• Previous warehouse, logistics or industrial experience


• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling


• Reliable and punctual


• Able to commit to a permanent night shift pattern


• Good attention to detail


• Able to follow instructions and work safely


• Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude


• Able to work independently and as part of a team
