Job summary

Smart Solutions in Redcar is seeking a reliable Forklift Driver to join a busy recycling and processing operation. You will safely operate an FLT, move bales and waste materials, and support day-to-day logistics and production tasks.

The role requires an FLT licence and prior forklift experience; training can be provided. A full-time position offering 42.5 hours per week and competitive pay is on offer, with opportunities to develop skills within the operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Fork Lift Truck to move materials around the site.
• Collect bales of plastic bottles from vehicles and transport to storage areas.
• Load waste materials into skips or vehicles.
• Transport bales of plastic materials to designated storage areas or vehicles.
• Move finished product bags from loading stations to storage areas or vehicles.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the site.
• Report safety concerns and equipment issues to the Shift Supervisor.
• Work with the production team to achieve QSHE and production targets.
• Train in additional tasks to support shift efficiency.

Multi Skilled Operative (FLT) - Logistics Operator

Location: Redcar, TS10
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Pay: £13.05 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Forklift Driver to join our team in Redcar. This is a hands-on role within a busy recycling and processing environment, where you'll be responsible for operating a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) safely and efficiently while supporting day-to-day logistics and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Fork Lift Truck to move materials around the site.
• Collect bales of plastic bottles from vehicles and transport them to the correct storage areas.
• Collect bales and boxes of waste material and load them into skips or vehicles.
• Transport bales of plastic materials to designated storage areas or load them onto vehicles.
• Remove finished product bags from loading stations and transport them to storage areas or load onto vehicles.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the site.
• Report operational safety concerns and equipment issues to the Shift Supervisor.
• Work closely with the production team to help achieve quality, safety, health, environmental (QSHE) and production targets.
• Train in additional operational tasks to support the flexibility and efficiency of the shift.
