Job summary

Smart Solutions in Redcar is seeking a Recycling Operative to support the busy recycling facility's day-to-day operations. You will sort recyclable materials from conveyor lines and operate a Counterbalance forklift where trained, maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

The role offers 4 on 4 off rotating 12-hour day and night shifts. Previous recycling experience helps; a Counterbalance FLT licence is preferred, and reliability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a recycling, waste, manufacturing or production environment is advantageous.
• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.

We are currently recruiting Recycling Operatives for long-term opportunities with our client based in Redcar.

This is a varied role working within a busy recycling facility, where you'll support the day-to-day operation of the site by carrying out a range of duties, including:

• Sorting recyclable materials from conveyor/sort lines
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (where trained and authorised)
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Supporting other operational tasks as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience within a recycling, waste, manufacturing or production environment is advantageous
• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
