Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler for a 12-month role in Heysham. This full-time position supports receiving, inventory control, and shipping duties in a safety-focused warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Forklift Truck license, have experience in goods-in/out, and possess strong computer skills to operate warehouse management systems. Shift is Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, with onsite PPE provided.

This full-time, 12-month position offers the opportunity to contribute to essential logistics operations in a professional, safety-focused setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, unpack, and book goods using the JDE computer system.
• Manage inventory by locating bulk items to hazard warehouses and picking stock for repack orders.
• Perform cycle counts and resolve location discrepancies to ensure inventory integrity.
• Coordinate export shipments, ensuring precise documentation and compliance with transport regulations.
• Handle fine chemicals in accordance with rigorous safety and exposure management protocols.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, adhering to all site security, environmental, and quality policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse, goods-in/out, or materials handling environment.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) license.
• Strong proficiency in warehouse and inventory management systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
• Basic computer literacy and effective communication skills for team collaboration.
