Job summary

A dedicated Material Handler is required at Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in the United Kingdom to support a busy warehouse environment. You will pick and pack customer orders to meet tight deadlines and ensure accurate and on-time shipments.

Working hours are 37.50 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00, with overtime available and no shift allowance. Licences for Counterbalance and Reach trucks are required; good English and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in distribution, warehousing, or supply chain.
  • Secondary school education required.
  • Valid licences for Counterbalance and Reach trucks.
  • Must be computer literate, with good written and spoken English and high attention to detail.
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse duties in accordance with SOPs and GMPs.
  • Safely operate Counterbalance and Reach trucks.
  • Use in-house software for daily picking, packing and shipping of orders.
  • Maintain regulatory records and perform in-process checks for quality and compliance.
  • Engage with continuous improvement programs including 5S.
  • Keep housekeeping standards and maintain equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors.

Job description

Pay Rate: £13.86 per hour (AWD/AWR Salary Equivalent: £27,027)

Schedule: Full-time, 37.50 hours per week

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 16:00 (Overtime available; no shift allowance)

Position Objective We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to work in a team-based environment performing material handling duties within a busy warehouse

. You will be responsible for picking and packing customer orders to meet tight deadlines, ensuring all orders are shipped accurately and on time

.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse duties in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Safely operate essential warehouse equipment, specifically Counterbalance and Reach trucks
  • Use in-house software packages and PC skills for the daily picking, packing, and shipping of orders
  • Maintain accurate regulatory records and perform necessary in-process checks to ensure quality and compliance
  • Fully engage with continuous improvement methodologies, including PPI and 5S programs
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are consistently met and maintain mechanical equipment efficiently
  • Work collaboratively, communicating effectively with team members, other departments, and your direct supervisor
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehousing, supply chain, or a related field
  • Education: Secondary school education required
  • Licenses: Valid licenses required for Counterbalance and Reach trucks
  • Skills: Must be computer literate, possess good written and spoken English, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Preferred: Experience operating powered industrial trucks such as order pickers and forklifts is highly preferred
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Must be comfortable working in a cold room (+4°C) and freezer (-20°C) for extended periods
  • Role requires work of a highly repetitive nature, including walking, standing, reaching, and lifting objects up to 25KG
